Wondering whether your child is being
cyber-bullied? Kids who start cyber-bullying other kids usually behave the same
way in-person as they do online. As a parent, if you are not too sure of a new
friend or even an old friend and you suspect your child may be the victim of
cyber-bullying, watch your child’s friends’ behavior in-person. Some signs bullies
exhibit in person are:
- Always trying to take control of other kids and boss them around
- Naming calling to hurt or get a reaction from the other kids
- Excludes one kid from the group activity
- Form a special club that has no specific rules or the rules keep changing based on who wants to join
- Overly aggressive in their playing and doesn't know when to stop
- Display much more physical or emotional power over other kids who they are with
