It
is horrible to read about sexting with under-aged kids, but I think it makes it
even worst when sexting happens with educators and under-aged kids. I recently
read about a middle school teacher who met a young teenage online in a chat
room and began sexting her. Of course he pretended to be someone else, but he
used degrading verbiage to the young teenage to get her to send sexual pictures.
And of course he knew he was doing wrong because he told his victims to delete
any messages or pictures. Thanks to
authorities this teacher was caught and is looking at jail time. The fact is though;
parents need to continue to talk with their tweens and teens about the dangers
that lurk online whether the internet is access through a cell phone or laptop.
Maybe it is setting a weekly date with your child to discuss how they are using
their cell phone.
