So your tween has a cell phone now for a couple of months. You notice he
is always taking it with him where ever he goes and has not lost it. It is
serving to be a great safety tool for your family. Then one day you see him
riding his bike and texting on his cell phone. As parents, we need to remember
to talk to our children about when not to text. Kids shouldn't text when they are engaged in
other activities that require their full attention, such as bike riding, skate
boarding, or in situations when he needs to be aware of what is going on around him, such as crossing the street or parking lot. I am sure most of you have
seen the You Tube video of the woman texting in the mall and falls into the
water fountain. We definitely don’t want this to happen to our kids.
