Text Message Education

Parents who decide to get their child a cell phone need to be educated themselves before turning the phone over to their child. I am not talking about how a phone works, but what their child can access with their phone and what information(texting) can be sent to them. An open dialogue needs to be establish with their child on what they are allowed to do with their phone. Once the send buttom is pushed, their message could be seen by their whole school. Lets say hypothetically that “girl Y” didn’t like what “girl Z” was wearing and “girl Y” told “girl W” in a text message about “girl Z”. Well, “girl W” could accidently send the text to someone else and then it is sent again and again and again. You get the picture, how something that is meant for one person could be shared with a lot more people.
